Homework will be collected the day it is due. I will not accept late HW. If you must miss class then you can email me a copy of the HW BEFORE IT IS DUE. You must show your work for all HW problems. Don't just write a single number if the problem requires multiple steps to arive at the answer. We will go over some of the homework in class. You should be prepared to come to the board and show how to do the problems. Although I might only assign some of the problems from a chapter you should understand how to do every problem in the book.
| HW # | Date assigned | Due Date | Assignment | Comments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Final Exam | Jan 5, 2006 |
The final will cover chapters 1-8 and only those sections from which I've assigned HW (see the HW problems listed below). If you can do all of the HW problems you should have no problem with the final. Greater emphasis will be placed on the material covered since the midterm. HOWEVER, make sure that you are very comfortable with knowing how to factor, work with fractions and exponents as these techniques are necessary to solve many of the problems from the new material too. You will be allowed to bring in one regular size 8.5" X 11" paper to the exam with formulas and/or notes on it. You may use a simple calculator, but not a graphing calculator. Know the following for the final. To see the exact pages, check the table of contents in the book.:
